multiple linked e-mails

I am using Outlook BCM 2007 and when I send an e-mail to a business contact
the history area will have multiple copies of the e-mail. In most cases one
of these is the actual e-mail and the rest are "business activities".
Sometimes there are 2 or 3 duplicates and sometimes it is 8 to 10 duplicates.
In all cases the duplicates are "business activities" and never more than 1
copy of the original e-mail. I have looked through all the seeting on the
e-mail linking and see nothing that would have any effect on these multiple
copies. Anyone else having these issues? I even think I will delete the
multiple "business activity" copies to clean things up and at some point in
the future several copies will return.

Sounds like a bug, albeit a new one on this newsgroup. I believe a
business activity is the general name for any item that BCM considers
part of the history, but you should never see a business activity as
such, you should only see the specific class of item; e.g. email,
appointment, opportunity. It sounds like adding an email to a contact
is adding a link between the email and the contact, and then extra
spurious links between the contact and unspecified activites. Is your
database shared with other users or private?

Thanks for the reply. Database is not shared. It is running on a single
laptop (not networked) with Vista Enterprise. I do sync it to a
Windows-enabled Moto-Q phone running the mobile version of BCM (great for
someone who travles like myself).
