Multiple emails

Bruce

I am running MS Outlook 2007 SP1 on Windows XP Professional SP 3. I sent an
email to one of my groups (contains 15 names) with a 5 MB attachment. Outlook
has been sending 15 copies of this email to each one of the addresses in the
group. I cannot stop the process. I tried to delete the message from the
outbox but it keeps telling me that Outlook has already begun sending this
message. I am at a loss as to how to remedy this situation. Can anyone give
me some guideance?

Randy,

Was able to resolve from your ideas/instructions. The MDBVU32.exe did not
work neither did the other two solutions provided in the link
http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/messagestuckinoutbox.htm. Through your links
and ideas I was able to create a new PST and then import my contacts leaving
behind the Outbox and the hung file.

Do you know what caused this situation? Are there any prevenative steps that
I can take??

Never import from a PST. You will lose data. Copy the data instead by
opening the source PST with File>Open>Outlook Data File.

Brian,

Thank you for the tip, was not aware of the limitations of the import tool.
