Multiple e-mail accounts

I have two accounts, one business (default, one private).
When I open Outlook, messages from both accounts are
automatically downloaded into the Inbox. I had understood
that only the default account would be active
automatically (which is what I would like to achieve)and
that if I wanted to activate All Accounts I had to press
F9.
Any ideas how I can limit the automatic downloading of
messages to the default Account?

What version of Outlook, despite version all messages will go into the
default message store (Inbox) unless you are using a IMAP, HTTP account. The
obvious easy way is to have separate profiles or use Rules to move messages!
