Multiple Desktops on Win 2000 Professional

I want to set up a second desktop on my laptop which is
running Windows 2000 Professional. what steps are
necessary to set up a second desktop?

Not sure what you mean by 'desktop' in this context - do you mean another
user account/user profile? That's pretty simple - just set up a new user.
