Multiple CD burners USB-2 or Firewire

I am bullding a new Pentium 4 based system for the purpose of duplicating
multiple CDs at once. A few months a go I built a tower with a total of 4 CD
burners that is working well. This time however I would like to use 8 or more
external CD-r drives using either USB-2 drives or Firewire drives. My questions
are: Which is better for this application USB-2 or Firewire? Also how many
burners can I hook up at a time? 4, 8, 12 ?? I am using CD Creator 6 burning
software.

Hmmm...offhand I'd say firewire: all the devices get the same full
bandwidth, but with USB2 they all share the same limited
bandwidth...IIRC of course...
