Firewire adapter

Received a LaCie external CD-RW drive. This unit has only firewire
connector. Would like to use this with my laptop.

Searching Google for a Firewire-USB adapter I find nothing. Do they
exist? Ideally a short length cable or if need be a plug in adapter.
