Multiple AVG6 Virsus Update Sites!!!

I have had nothing but trouble trying to d/l AVG6
virus data updates from the (default) free.grisoft.cz
site lately. I found this is another newsgroup and am
passing it along. (I haven't tried it yet; I did a manual
update earlier today before I found this)

Navigate to your AVG install directory and rename your existing url.ini file
to url.iniold.

Copy the following and paste into notepad and save it as url.ini. Put this
new file into your AVG install directory. You'll now have 3 options to
select from with www.grisoft.com being the default.

[SERVER_NAME]

2=ftp.grisoft.com
3=www.grisoft.com

[SERVER_URL]
1=http://free.grisoft.cz/softw/60/fe
2=ftp.grisoft.com/pub/softw/60/fe/

Actual URL=3

The ftp address is as slow and dead as the free address.
The www address gives me 'no connection to the internet"
much sooner than the free though. AVG6 is still busted
although I hear they have now fixed AVG7. You get what
you pay for, I reckon. Fortunately, Avast is my primary
'free' AV.
