Here's my situation, I've got a HP XL753 PC with a multimedia keyboard. The
PC had Windows ME installed on it when purchased. I've recently upgraded to
Windows XP. However, XP did not recognize the keyboard so I assumed there
are no drivers on XP other than the standard driver. The keyboard is
working except for the multimedia functions.
I then found an updated driver for XP on the HP Web site but when I
installed it, it locked up my PC and I had to do a Restore to get it working
again. HP would not help (typical) since PC is out of their warranty
period.
Any help/suggestions?

HP multimedia keyboards are usually manufactured by Netropa. The driver you
found was probably one for WindowsME which came with your PC. Go to
www.netropa.com and look for updated drivers there.

Cari,
I wrote them but have yet to get a reply. There are updated drivers on
their site but my model keyboard is not listed so I wrote asking for help.
We'll see.
