Multi Drives

I have a multi drive on my new laptop and can not record
onto DVD. Error messages keep telling me I/O error drive
not installed!
I can play CD, DVD and record onto CD but nothing at all
onto DVD.
Can anybody offer a suggestion or places to search for
HELP, I think iv'e tried all of the usual but found no
answers.

Peter,

Maybe you reverse the info in this, as the issue is usually the other way
around.

Hello,

It sounds as though it is not capable of burning a DVD. That is quite a common
thing...there is no error if that is the case. You would be able to replace it
with a DVD burner quite cheaply nowadays. DVD burners can also burn CD's
