MSXML 4.0 SP2 security update

This is not a Defender question, but if some kind soul could give me a quick
yes or no answer, I'd be very grateful.

I checked Microsoft updates today and was offered this (MSXML 4.0 SP2
security update), and when I checked the KB (925672), I found (as usual) that
I could understand almost nothing of what was said. The little that I did
understand seemed to imply that there might be awkward consequences of
installing it.

Could someone tell me please - do I actually NEED this update? I have no
idea whether I ever use whatever feature of Windows it's referring to.

I have yet to see any problems relating to these XML patches.

Regardless of what horrifying language might be contained in individual
knowledgebase articles, there is seldom any fearful consequences with which
to contend.

Might I also suggest that if Microsoft offers an update, you probably NEED
to have it -- Windows Genuine Advantage being an exception, of course. ;-)
