MSXML 4.0 SP2 Security Update (925672) does not install (WXP-Pro)

Can someone please help me?
I keep getting the yellow sign (updates are ready for your computer) to
install a file. I install the file over and over again but nothing happens. I
also downloaded the file manually from Microsoft but I still get the sign 2
minutes after I install it. Also when I go to shut down it says press shut
down to install windows critical updates but still I get the same result. Is
it a virus? What can I do?
The file is the following:

Yes this has been a problem - but it is discussed in the windowsupdates
group - not here.
When you get there do a search for either MSXML or KB925672 and quite a few
will come up.

MS suggests the following:

1. Reinstall MSXML 4.0 SP2
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=3144b72b-b4f2-46da-b4b6-c5d7485f2b42

2. Now try installing 925672, either via Windows/Automatic Updates or
manually using the following download link for WinXP SP2 (only):
