I get an error on boot up MSWINSRV32.exe has encountered a
problem and needs to close. when I click OK the computer
runs as normal and nothing seems wrong. I can't find what
this file does or how to fix this probem.

scan your system with latest virus definitioned antivirus/spybot search
and destroy/adaware.

I suspect you have a virus. What does a scan with a current antivirus
program (meaning a version not earlier than 2002 and using updated
virus definitions) show?
