mstsc.exe - Application Error

J

jeff

I get an exception (0xc0000094) when connected from a
win2k rdp client to a winxp computer. I can log in, and
run some stuff, but when I try some things I get the
error. When I try to open the computer management console
on XP, or open some folders, I get the error. I can browse
all day from mozilla or run Outlook, or other programs,
but some programs specifically cause that error, and ONLY
that error. I then of course am disconnected. If I try to
reconnect, I see the desktop being drawn and then when the
window for the particular application is being redrawn, I
get the error. I just reinstalled the rdp client today and
the same error occurs.

I have also tried to connect with the machine using
rdesktop on linux. It is so horrible slow over my remote
connection that I don't have the patience to see if it
completes. I will retry from home and see what I get.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, jeff

This might help you to find the cause:

0xc0000094 = decimal value 148

With the command "net helpmsg 148" (without the quotes), you get
the text of the error code, which is something like "The path can
currently not be reached" (translated from Swedish, so check it
out).
