We are having problem with using MSSoap 3.0 CLIENT from our XP embedded
configuration. MSSoapInit() call succeedes, but actual COM calls
dispatched via SOAP fails with 'Connection timeout' error - no
recognizable response received (the same code works fine on XPPro/Win2K
configurations). It appears as we are missing some components for the
SOAP client to run properly. And yes, 'SOAP client runtime' XPe
component is included (but in the description it really says that it is
for the SOAP 2.0 support), and it does not make any difference. MSXML4
SP2 was installed followed by the SOAP3.0 Toolkit. SOAP server side of
the toolkit works fine. SOAP communications from other machines to this
XPe machine works without a glitch. This is XPe SP2. Thank you for your
help. This was unexpected hit to our project.
