I cannot get a fresh, new file on Paint. That,and opening
an existing file, produces a blank white rectangle. All
commands work on this area thus rendering the programme
useless. It worked fine until this week. How do I get rid
of this blank bitmap?

Hi Merial,

That sounds normal to me. However, to restore Paint - run the edit on line

The White area is the bit you draw on, otherwise there is nothing
to draw on. Its there by design. Select File, New creates a new
blank rectangle.
