When I reinstalled Windows XP, I was asked to activitate. I received an
msoobe.exe - Application Error - "The instruction at '0x772637b4' referenced
memory at '0x00000000'. The memory could not be 'written.' Clicking OK or
Cancel both sent be back to the Welcome screen.

I can't get to the Start button to try recommended options.

I am running XP Pro SP2 on a Dell Optiplex 210L.

Can anyone help?

In your System32 directory. Is 'wpa.dbl' set to read only? If so, remove the
read only attribute & try again. If this isn't successful then you'll need
to contact Microsoft it seems
