MSN Toolbar causes IE/Windows lockups

I've installed the new MSN toolbar (mainly for the pop-up
blocking feature) and have found it causes extremely
frequent and consistant IE lockups, many so severe that
the Windows taskmanager will not even open (to use End
Task) and the computer has to be powered-off to regain
control. I've installed it on two systems so far (one is
XP Home, the other XP Pro - both with latest
updates/patches/SPs), and have also talked to a friend
who has installed it on two of his computers - same thing
happens on all computers. There is no clear event that
triggers the lockups - it is not triggered by pop-ups -
it happens when a link is clicked, sometimes when the
link worked fine just a moment before. The longer IE is
run without closing/restarting it, the worse the problem
becomes (some of the links/lockups create
damaged/incomplete new browser windows that are hung, but
other IE windows will still work for). Turning off the
pop-up feature (pop-ups allowed) makes little if any
difference - the problem still occurs frequently and
consistantly. I've searched the MS knowledge base not
finding a single entry re the new MSN Toolbar. Also, as
the problem prevents task manager from being opened, and
often leaves the computer in such an unusable state,
there is no error reporting possible (automatically or
otherwise to MS).

Does anyone know of this problem/bug and is there a fix
(other than uninstalling MSN Toolbar lol )?

i don't know of a fix either, try yahoo tool bar or
google. yahoo works good, but none will work with the msn
broswer.
