I had to uninstall MSN then reinstall, however, when I try to install it
again, either from CD or the internet it says it can't install due to me not
having servicepack 2 or above, yet I have servicepack 2 installed, I have
also tried without firewall but it wont load. Any sugestions?

I used MSN Internet Service for years without installing that software.
You can use your MSN user name and password to access your mail through
Hotmail.

I created a new Dial Up Networking (DUN) connection (Setup Button on
"Connections" tab of "Internet Properties" dialog - accessible through
the control panel or IE Tools menu). I allowed the server to assign my
IP address on the TCP/IP Settings pop-up. I enabled IP header
compression and Use default gateway on remote network.

You can access MSN from a library or web cafe to determine your local
dial up number(s). Make sure they are a LOCAL call from your home!

If your account is old enough for POP3 and SMTP access, the server names
for Outlook 98 or later and Outlook Express are pop3.email.msn.com and
smtp.email.msn.com . Check the box to activate "Log on using Secure
Password Authentication"

You should also try using Outlook Express for the HTTP mail server at
http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp (again through
"Accounts..." on the Tools menu).

A link to a web based "Hotmail" mail client is on the msn.com home page.

Sorry I didn't explain myself very well. What has happened is that I pay
subscription to MSN, and due to a problem I had to uninstall it then
reinstall. However, all components install except MSN Explorer, I have tried
everything MSN Tech support have told me to do but it continues to say I need
Servicepack2 or above. yet I have servicepac 2 installed. And all I can now
get is the bog standard free hotmail.
