msn premium messenger

My contacts are no longer listed on the home page. This occurred overnight.
One day they are there, the next they are gone. Have virus checked, spyware
checked with no bad results. Have reinstalled msn messenger that didn't
resolve the issue. What more can I do to get them back? Thanks in advance.

Try looking on your hard drive for the file "MSN_Mail.msnbak" on your hard
drive. This is a backup copy of the address book and emails from your MSN
account. While I'm not familiar with how this is created, if you do have one
- there is a chance that it would contain the information that you need.

There's instructions on the MSN site on how to import this. There's also a
program called MailNavigator that can be usedto read the file. You can
download it from here: http://www.mailnavigator.com/MNavi110.exe

As I recall, the free trial didn't allow me to recover much, if any of the
emails from an 97 mB copy of MSN_Mail.msnbak. So, I forked out the $29 for
it and it recovered most of the emails (I can't say for sure because I did
this for someone else).
