Hello
I live in a house with 4 other people and when two of us are on MSN
Messenger we both disconnect and then reconnect. It only lets one of us
online at one time.
I am woundering if there is a way to change this
Many Thanks

Not a lot of info here but all I can think of is that you would have to have
a DSL modem which frees up your phone line and the other computer configured
to use dialup.Sounds as though the servers that handle the Messenger are
detecting 2 versions coming from the same source.Am not at all familiar with
Routers so maybe someone else can enlighten you on the use of one of those to
get around it.
However,if you both have your own seperate phone service, different
numbers,then I can't see why the messengers don't work properly.Not much help
but thought I'd give it a go.SS

Harriet, *never* publish your email address in a public forum such as this.
Web-based or not!

I second the recommendation to post your question in the public
newsgroups for MSN, but I need to change the directions. You should go
to news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.msn.messenger
if the problem is only with Messenger. What I think you are describing
should not be happening unless you are using the same Passport ID on
multiple computers. Each computer connected to the Internet and
running MSN Messenger (or Windows Messenger) needs to be using a
unique Passport ID/email identity or the last one signed on will kick
the first one off.
