MSN messenger won't sign in

My msn messenger won't sign in. It says my user name or
password is wrong when it isn't. I've uninstalled & re
installed it and it still won't work. I have Windows XP,
and its worked for the whole 3 years I've had it up unitl
now. Please tell me what's wrong & how to fix it because I
can't seem to figure it out. Thanks
