MSN Messenger freezes at sign in

I have installed MSN Messenger v 7.5, but when I go to sign in, it freezes.
I can type in my e-mail address and password, and it will start signing in,
but then it just stops responding. I have uninstalled and reinstalled MSN
Messenger v 7.5, as well as Windows Live Messenger, but it does exactly the
same thing. I'm completely at a loss as to what to do now.

I am having the *exact* same problem in both Live and 7.5.

I don't know what to do. I cannot find a fix. I've tried everything.

It seems that many people have had this problem creep up in the past few
weeks, so perhaps it is something that will be patched.

Anyone? Help?
