Msn Messenger won't exit using Windows XP

My Msn Messenger won't exit using Windows XP.

It would say to close programs which are opened like Outlook and I.E.
Yet I closed all of them.
I use both versions 4 and 6 of Msn Messenger.

I need to clearafy some thing with you. Are you using windows Messenger 4, and then MSN Messenger 6
Because they are two diffrent programs, in way. Please let me know
