MSN Messenger 6.2 and WinXP - video setup

WebCamera settings tab says that Messenger WebCamera Within Messenger, the
I have WinXP running with a DSL connection and a DV Video Cam [Sony PC100]
connected via an IEEE1394 card - so far so good and all "bits" are working.
I am having problems setrting up the camera as a Web cam to use in Messenger
for video conferencing. Within Messenger, theAudio and Video Tuning Wizard
recognised the C Sony Camera, but the Web Camera settings tab sauys it cannot
find a camera or it is in use. Either I appear to be missing something
fundamental in my setup or the system is agin me! Any suggestions ?

Hi there - tis me again - sorry about the repeated firtst line in my last
plea - finger trouble. I seem to have "solved" the problem buy installing
the beta version of the Messenger [v7.0] and noe the SOny DV camera is
recognised and appears to work!
