msn 7.5 and laptops

i just bought a new laptop and it has windowsXP and windows messenger on it..
i downloaded msn 7.5 but it wont let me use it. it keeps telling me that the
service is unavailable at this time. so i need to know if there is anything i
can do to make it work, iam also currently using a wireless connection to the
internet if that would make any difference? i would really apperciate the
help. thank you in advance!

Paula I had (Until it crapped out on me) an old 2000 model IBM ThinkPad and
was using a D-Link wireless network adapter and had messenger 7.5 working
just fine so I don't see how a wireless adapter would be a problem. It could
possibly be your firewall or virus protection or could possibly even be anti
spyware program causing the problem. Other than that I'm just as stumped as
you are.
