MSinfo32.exe

A problem that I have encountered twice now is that my
System Tools Information does not display. Start> Help
and Support> Tools> Advanced System Information> View
Detailed System Information (MSinfo32.exe); this returns
me to the Help and Support screen. Start> Run>
msinfo32.exe nets the same result.

I have a recently reinstalled my XP Home, with all
critical updates, and have no error messages in my
history. The only software that I run is EA Sports MVP
Baseball, and Ad-Aware 6. After a month now, the problem
has re-occured.

Any views on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Wally

Make sure your event log and WMI are turned on in services. go.start\control panel\administrative tools\services. You may or maynot also need the RPC active. In my case running XP HE V2002.

Thanks for the reply and instruction. I have all of those
now on automatic, and with re-booting the symptoms are
still the same.

Regards,
Wally
