MSINFO32.exe

Hello

I am trying to see what hardware components my PC has. In Run I type
msinfo32.exe (I have Win XP Home), but I get a message along the lines that
Windows cannot access the Windows Management Instrumentation Software.

After I use Run and press enter, a window pops up, menu on the left and
wider pane on the right, but Windows is not able to retrieve information from
the system. I seem to be missing some file or other.

Can anyone help, please?

Many thanks.

If you goto
Start
Run
type
services.msc
click OK
<services.msc opens>

and navigate to the Windows Management Instrumention is it started and set
to automatic? The Windows Management Instrumention Driver Extensions is
default at Manual

Many thanks for your replies.

Yes, Steve, it is set to automatic - but the problem still remains.

Thanks, Ramesh. I'll visit the link.

Cheers
