MSINFO like utility...

In XP and previous OS's there was a utility called MSINFO which allowed you
to troubleshoot startup issues. THis does seem to be available in WIn2K. Is
this utility still around in a different form or is it there somewhere?

I did a search for MSCONFIG and there is an MSCONFIG32.exe but this is part
of the "System Information" applet in computer management and does not
provide the troubleshooting ability that the older msconfig utility did..

If anyone has any clue on this, please let me know...

Thanks,

Brad

You'll find the System Information utility under Programs > Accessories > System
Tools.

The utility that you're referring to is MSCONFIG, which is not included in
Win2K. The WinXP version of MSCONFIG works well in Win2K. Get it here:

This link also includes a download of its companion Help file.

Here's an additional freeware utility that you may want to consider using in
addition to msconfig. It, unlike msconfig, can also delete those orphaned or
malware type entries.

Unzip the files and place them in your system path
