MSFT Plus! won't install, others

I've just received a new Inspiron 1150 and the Microsoft Plus! CD that came
with it won't install (installation interrupted msg). Also, the Adobe SVG
Viewer won't install either (well, it seems to install, but Regsrv32.exe
won't execute). Any thoughts on these seemingly related problems?

I've booted with Diagnostics (msconfig) with no luck. AntiVirus disabled
etc...

Are you logged on as the Administrator?
