Hello,

When using MSconfig to diable start-up items I have
noticed that there is a lot of items that are either not
on my system or not used anymore. How do I go about
deleting these files from the startup tab in msconfig??

Try a startup utility program, such as this one here;

In addition to the Startup trackers mentioned on that page,
you might want to take a look at WinPatrol, which alerts you when new
items are added to startup locations.
