I have a Lenovo T60 laptop with WinXPP sp2 2gig ram. I get this message in
the middle of an install from a VPN client. Right in the middle of the
installation the laptop goes straight to a BSOD, showing the header above
with a STOP 0x0...12C.
I restarted the pc, and tried to go to Safe Mode, and the same error. I
tried Safe mode with command prompt and was able to get there.
Next i ran msconfig, and diabled all startup items and services, and the pc
started no problem.

any help with continuing.
I then deleted the computer and did a factory restore. tried to load the
VPN client again and the same error appeared.

I can't find any references, even at Microsoft, to a STOP 0x0000012C
and any references that I can find for BAD_POOL_CALLED turn out to be
typos that are actually references to STOP 0x000000C2: BAD_POOL_CALLER
