Msconfig Starts the System Configuration Utility everytime I start windows

How do I stop this from happening. It's very annoying.

It started a few days ago, I don't know why.

I started msconfig one day to remove a program that I didn't want to start.
When I rebooted, the system utility came back up on the desktop. When I
clicked the box for the utility not to start again, it didn't work and the
utility reappears on the desk top every time.

I checked the registry and it's not in the run folder.

How can I fix this issue.

tks,

For similar problem with real player, where it re-msconfig's startup of
realsched.exe, I delete the program from computer. May have to come
up safe to get rid of something that you can't stop by de-select.
