MSCONFIG start-up item removal

Every time I start up my computer (since three months ago) I get two My
Document folders, a run.dll error and a "windows can't find" error. How do I
get rid of the start-up items in MSCONFIG (I know exactly which ones)?
Another message mentioned checking the items themselves, but I deleted one
during a virus attack, and I have no idea why my computer loads the two
folders up...

For reference, rundll refers to webspec.dll, which I deleted because it was
adware or some crap like that, and the other is logon.exe, which I also
deleted.

There are two things that youu may have to do. One is to Delete some keys in
the registry. Or use msconfig. Deleting the registry keys would be the
advised solution to this problem

"Warning editing the registry can damage your computer if the wrong keys
are deleted"

To edit the registry press start > run type in REGEDIT.

Direct to the folder

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Run

In here you will find the startup items. Delete the key if it is the one
causing the error.(If not in this folder goto either:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Runonce

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

If this does not resolve the problem open MSCONFIG.

To edit MSCONFIG press start > run type in MSCONFIG

Go to the startup tab. Untick the boxes that you think problem is.

Press apply, then ok and restart your computer. When you do this you will
recieve a box saying that you did something in msconfig just press ok on it.
Any further queries email me on (e-mail address removed)
