MSAS Problem

JoeM

I just installed MSAS (for more test). When I open MSAS all I get is the
main window, (Title bar and menus) the icons and stuff in the middle are not
showing, it just displays a white screen. I can not scan any programs or
even update MSAS. How can I fix this problem?

You can repair Windows AntiSpyware using Add or Remove Programs in Control
Panel. Click Microsoft AntiSpyware and click Change. Click Next, and then
click Update.
If that does not work, uninstall the software, delete the programs file
folder for Microsoft AntiSpyware located under c:\Programs Files\Microsoft
AntiSpyware, restart and install to a non-default location such as c:\msas

Hello JoeM,

Then, try these steps:

1) Open up a command prompt (start -> run -> type in -> command)
2) Type in the following "regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll" (without the quºtes).
3) Close and re-open Windows Defender.

Good luck

I've got Microsoft Antispyware running on about about two dozen machines
with OneCare.

So--I'm glad you found a fix, but this isn't a hard and fast app
compatibility issue.
