System tray icon

The icon in my system tray indicates that MSAS is active.
When running a scan or updating or even reading the
messages, in other words, when ever I have got anything
to do with MSAS on my screen it shows GIANT AntiSpyware
in my Task Manager Process Tab. When there is nothing on
my screen to do with MSAS and there is just the icon in
my system tray, nothing shows up in the Task Manager. The
GIANT AntiSpyware disapears altogether from the Task
Manager. My question is this, If MSAS icon is showing
that it is active, why doesn't it appear in the Task
Manager. Is it really active? Thanks for any comments.

The behaviour you have noted is entirely normal and not a cause for concern

Are you sure about that, because both processes for Microsoft AntiSpyware
displayed under Process tab in the TaskManager window: gcasDTServ.exe and
gcasServ.exe. Realtime protection is also enabled and is identified by the
Microsoft AntiSpyware running in the notification area.

Sorry, yes you are right, both gcasDTServ.exe and
gcasServ.exe are both showing in the process tab. It was
just that the GIANT Antispyware dissappeared when MSAS
was not on the screen. Not sure what you meant about
the: Microsoft AntiSpyware running in the notification
area. How do I check this. Thank you.
