MSAS gone South for the Winter

Hi Folks

I cannot uninstall or install Anti-Spyware. When I do, it runs normally,
until it needs to register files, at which point I get errors saying that the
files could not be unregistered / registered. The files it refers to are all
gcAS*.dll files and I notice that there are a host of entries in the registry
left behind after an uninstall.

It also seems to have affected the System Restore as I cannot restore to an
earlier time.

Does anyone know how I cna fix this to either remove or re-install AS?

Thanks
Jonathan

Hi Engel

This unfortunately doesn't work. I have tried this. If MSAS is installed
(with errors), it is listed in the tool and will remove it. If MSAS is not
installed, it doesn't show up in the list at all.

The other very wierd thing is that shellextensions.dll is left in the
program folder and cannot be deleted - but it can be renamed and so can the
folder...

Thanks
Jonathan
