| Post back whether or not it exists. Before trying the KB823980 install
| again.

Doug, that key did exist in my Registry before I ran the fix. Windows Update
was still insisting that I needed MS03-026 (823980) though.

The fix has worked on all three systems I've applied it to.

One thing anybody running Norton AV 2003 (and maybe others) should be aware of
is that NAV may object to the fix with a malicious script warning, but it's easy
to change the recommended action to allow the write.

I was out of the office for the couple of days since this post and a
colleague completed the updates on the rest of the machines.

Seems Dell are shipping the units prepatched but something about how Dell
are preparing the machines makes WU think they're unpatched.

Meanwhile, I did two new 4600's at a different site yesterday and they
didn't show the problem. go figure.
