I know how to put hyperlinks in a Word document.

Problem, Word limits the length of a hyperlink.

I need a way to get very long hyperlinks in a Word document. Especially
when copy-paste of a URL does not work because of spaces.

Please, how do I get very long hyperlinks in a Word document.

Not sure how to alter the lentgth of allowable text.

However, this may be an alternative.

Add the hyperlength, then right click it and choose Edit.
Change the text to display option to read for example, 'Recipe List', when
users of your doc mouseover, they will still get a hyperlink and can copy it
from the address bar of the browser once it opens up.

This seems even stranger since I asked this question.

The problem I had was a long search link. I was trying to edit an existing
WEB hyperlinked text. The hyperlink listbox would not accept the new longer
link.

Now the strange part, I had to insert a new link. Same long WEB search
format. This time the long hyperlink was accepted! The only difference
between the 2 links was a 6-digit numerical article code.

I got arround the problem with the orginal link, by copying the link that
worked and just editing the numerical article code and the text. Bingo, now
the linked works.
