I have two identically configured systems and I am using a MS Wireless
Multimedia Keyboard & Standard Optical Mouse on each.
Asus P4P 800 Deluxe, P4 3.2, 1GB RAM, XP Pro - SP2
I am using only 4 of the 8 available USB ports, and most of the time, the
mouse and keyboard are the only active USB devices.
On both systems, the mouse acts strangely; it moves properly, but when
clicking on documents or folders or selecting items from menus, it's
sporadic. Most of the time, 75% or so, the double clicking once will open a
file or folder or let me choose an item from a menu. But the other 25% of
the time, nothing happens. If I click two or three times, or move the mouse
around and then try again, it will work
The batteries in the mouse and keyboard are fine, the signal is excellent.
The driver is 5.1.2006.
Any suggestions?
