MS Visual Studio Tools

Hi. I have the opportunity to purchase Visual Studio Tools for 2003
(academic version; lower cost because I'm in a class). Is this the same
piece of software that I need to get the rights to distribute Access runtime
applications? Thanks!

I don't believe it is.

It's Visual Studio Tools for Office 2003 that includes the Access 2003
Developer Extensions (ADE). The ADE is the product that gives you the
license to deploy the 2003 runtime components and you have to have Access
2003 installed in order to install the ADE.

Be careful, too, if you're getting VSTO. For instance, while VSTO is
available in all subscription levels of MSDN, the Access Developer
Extensions are not included with all versions. ADE is only available at
Universal level.

Thank you so much Doug. I didn't want to waste my money and find out I still
need to purchase something else. I really appreciate your help!
