Ms Spyware Beta1 not detecting cookies - Should it?

I ran MS AnitSpyware Beta 1
Version 1.0.615
Spyware Definition Version 5763 (9/30/20005 9:18:29 AM)

and it found absolutely nothing.

I then ran Spybot Search & Distroy, Ad-Aware SE Personal and Webroot Spy
Sweeper (in the order listed here).

Each spware software detected cookies.

Should MS AntiSpyware have found them????

I have a MS Word document that I can email, that identifies what was found.

Microsoft Antispyware, in the builds distributed thus far, doesn't scan for
cookies, nor selectively remove them. You can remove ALL cookies in the
tracks remover feature, but that will have undesirable side effects for most
people.

So--your copy isn't broken. As to the philosophical issue, this has been
discussed at great length here and no agreement reached!

Bill hurray. However people keep writing about this issue and I for one
find it overdone. Should keep a permanent post "Cookies not handled in Beta
1" and put an end to the this topic

I do wish that we could do that, but even with the new web interface, we
don't have a good way to provide such a list.
