I posted this quest. on another group and was directed to this reply.
I don't quite understan it though. Especially because I am not running
Mcafee. I Run the Zone Alarm set of progs. I run SB S&D often and
never saw this msg. until today. All feedback appreciated.
TIA

Just ran Spybot S&D. It flagged this line.

Microsoft.WindowsSecurityCenter.AntiVirusOverride: Settings (Registry
change, nothing done)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security
Center\AntiVirusOverride!=dword:0

Is this ok to have spybot remove? I am not using any MS security progs.
TIA

#6 in this thread suggests the answer.

Remove it.
Move on.

It won't hurt anything - but to be sure - reboot...
Then when you get back up, go into the Security Center...
(Control Panel --> Security Center)
Ensure 'Virus Protection' shows 'On'...

My Security Ctr already says AV on via ZA.
Does make the change still apply?
