Just ran Spybot S&D. It flagged this line.

Microsoft.WindowsSecurityCenter.AntiVirusOverride: Settings (Registry
change, nothing done)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security
Center\AntiVirusOverride!=dword:0

Is this ok to have spybot remove? I am not using any MS security progs.
TIA

Joe,
Thanks for the info. It really wasn't clear b/c I use Zonelabs Suite and not
Mcafee.
I have run Spybot many times but just now saw this msg. I wasn't able to
figure how to responf
to the Google group, so I reposted on the group that the reply came from.
Maybe I'll get a clearer ans. there.

Let Spybot do whatever it wants, in this case. It wants to prevent the
change to the registry key that would add the exclamation point, thus
preventing WindowsSecurityCenter from alerting you to your listed a/v
being disabled. You, of course, want to be alerted if something
disables your a/v software.

Joe, Thanks again.
I also got the ok via the Google link. I let Spybot do it's thing.
Let's see if it stays gone<g>.
