ms.public.dotnet.vb.general - an "ex group"

Is there anything amiss with the newsgroup

microsoft.public.dotnet.vb.general

??

From where I'm sitting, it's /completely/ dried up - only four posts in as
many days. Did I miss the mass exodus, or is my news server simply
messing me about?

TIA,
Phill W.

I don't see this group. Do you mean microsoft.public.dotnet.general ? There
is more than 20 threads just today.

Note though that IMO it's better to post to another group if this is a
language or technology specific question...

Hi Phill,

AFAIK, there is no such a newsgroup, the closest are this one or the
microsoft.public.vb.general.discussion (which is for VB6)

Carlos,

There is a Microsoft dotNet forum by that name vb.general,

I don't like the interface from that one, so I avoid it.

This group is not a Microsoft group. It has been created by someone else
IIRC. I recommend not to post to "microsoft.public.dotnet.vb.general" and
use this group instead.
