Suddenly (after years of use) MS Photoed won't open even when I by-pass
the shortcut or click on a JPG. When I go into Program Files,
Microsoft Shared,PhotoEd, PhotoEd.exe; double click on the EXE does nothing.

Yesterday I installed some MS Updates ????????????????

Does the program work in safe mode?
In normal mode ttry to do a restore to the day or time before the updates.
If this doesn't help, try uninstalling the updates via add/remove. The
updates can always be reinstalled later. Or you can designate any of them
from never installing onto your pc....

DatabaseBen the Genius:
Tried Safe Mode with the same results at first, zero. Tried Open With
from Safe Mode and all of these worked from there(which they did also in
normal mode)MS Office Picture Mgr, Irfan View, Paint, MS Picture and Fax
Viewer. Then went back and xx clicked on a JPG object and it reluctantly
(at first) opened in PhotoEd. Tried a few more images and it got better.
Got out of Safe, rebooted into Normal Mode and all is well so far. U
helped me jar something loose for which I'm grateful, thanx loads,
Cheers-Herb.

Glad to help....
