ms paint functionality to access

N

Nabeel

I have a data base with about 2500 records, each has about 4 pictures
associated with it stored in the same folder. I have developed a form to
display the pictures along with corresponding records.

Now I want to add functionality of editing those pictures from the same form
(presently my users have to open Ms Paint to do it), I don't need all the
functionality of Paint.. just want to draw some lines in different colors
and get it saved to the corresponding picture. Is it possible to do this . .
are their any activeX components available . . . . need help urgently.

Thanks a lot, looks like it fits my requirements . . . that site is amazing
.. . .. Long live Stephen Lebans :)-))

BTW . .. is there any control, where the changes that I make r done on a
layer and saved as a separate image instead of being imposed on the
background image and being saved with it. . ...

and one more . . is there a way to erase some of my drawings without
disturbing the background image

Looks like I am asking for too much. . . (;-) any way Thanks a lot

Nabeel, Nabeel, Nabeel,

First you ask for simpler than Paint. Now you want more than Paint. Having
troubling making up your mind? :)

Sounds like you need to go to a full-feature graphics program. I'm afraid I
don't know enough about them to make a recommendation.

Maybe someone else here knows of something.

Good luck.

Yes, our MetaDraw control will meet your needs.
MetaDraw will allow you to edit on a separate layer
from the background and then just save the edit layer.
MetaDraw will also allow you to erase or otherwise modify
part of the drawing - so for instance you can draw a line
and then move, or erase the line. Each shape is an object
in MetaDraw so you can address each shape and set it's characteristics
( for instance assign a hidden tag to a drawn shape or bit of text
to indicate who made that specific line).
