MS Outlook problem

I recently had a hard drive crash. I replaced it and reinstalled MS Office
2003 on the new hard drive. Everything works fine except Outlook. I can't
get it to open at all. The message I get is "The connection to the Microsoft
Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to
complete this act." I don't know what to do to get it to work. What is my
Microsoft Exchange Server?

Go to Control Panel->Mail Icon->Accounts. Add your POP3 account. Go back to Control Panel->Mail Icon (without opening Outlook in the interim) and select Accounts->View or Change. Remove the Exchange account.

Milly, it didn't work exactly like you said BUT, using your information, I
was able to work through my problem and now can use MS Outlook. My main
reason was so I could send pictures in a smaller format. I don't know how to
do that in Yahoo but it is so easy in Outlook. Thanks!!! Thanks!!! Jane

I spoke too soon. I can get on Outlook but when I try to send a message it
tries to send but can't. I get two messages, both the same. "Specified
Server was found but no response from server. Verify that Port and SSL info
is correct. Any ideas. JK

Who is your ISP? They should have a web page with instructions on how to configure Outlook. If they don't but only offer how to configure OUtlook Express, use the same instructions. By the way, is this a paid US Yahoo!Mail account or is it from your ISP such as SBC Yahoo!?

It is a paid account - sbcglobal.net and it uses Yahoo. Actually now it's
AT&T Yahoo. I'll check the webpage again.
