Q1. Two computers running Win me & W2K have the same Office 2000 Pro.
Shortly after installation the attachment seem to leave here OK, but
never get to destination.
It work if mail option set to TEXT instead of RTF !!! Why not RTF ?
Yes, RTF is converted to text depending on the destination S/W &
settings, but the MS Word attachment shouldn't be affected?

Q2. On the same PCs the after Win OS reinstall tried to open/import my
PST file (33 Mb) but ZERO messages inbox/outbox & all. Mind you
the tree structure is exact, the fields and filters are correct !!!
SCANPST.EXE found no errors in the PST file !!!

Thanks in advance for your help

A1. RTF is a messaeg format; this includes the attachment as well. Since not
all mailservers and clients support this format the behaviour you're seeing
is norma. It should work when you are sending in HTML or Plain Text format

A2. Use File-> Open-> Outlook Data File... instead

Tips of the month:
-Backup and Restore
-Create an Office XP CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 3

Thanks Robert,

Well said, now I understand why.
RTF is gone for good.

In my Outlook 2000 "File->Open->Personal File (.pst)" is the
ONLY choice available, & it doesn't work.
Unable to find "Open-> Outlook Data File" !!!

Does that means I'm out of luck ?
Back to square one
Sure there must a way to open/import a recent .pst file.

not OK,
but RTF
?

Does it come up empty or do you get an error?
If it shows up empty rightclick the root of the folder and choose
Properties-> button Folder Size... Does it indicate that there should be
messages in the folders? How large is your pst-file?

Then copy it again. Make sure the outlook.exe process isn't running on the
other computer during the copy.
