MS Office 2007 Language Problem

Joe

I am probably in the wrong support group but here is my small problem. I had
to re-install XP Pro and up to SP3. Then I re-installed MS Office 2007. The
problem is that now my spell checker only checks in the French language. It
is also the only language available. I think I have checked all possible
locations to change the language but have not found out how to change it. I
un-installed Office 2007 Enterprise and re-installed but nothing changed. Any
words of wisdom out there?

Does this problem affect Outlook Express only - or does it also affect
spellchecking in Word 2007, Excel 2007?

If your problem is confined to Outlook Express, please read previous
contributions in the microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general newsgroup.
If necessary, you can ask questions in that newsgroup.

If the problem also affects spellchecking in Microsoft Office programs,
you could seek advice in the microsoft.public.office.misc or
microsoft.public.office.setup newsgroups.

No one guided you to a fix here. This is a known problem when using
Office 2007 with Outlook Express. Microsoft had re-designed the spell
checking in Office 2007 which breaks the spell check in Outlook
Express. No official fix seems to be made / coming from Microsoft
since they have discontinued Outlook Express (does not exist in
Vista.) Look across the web for addtional fixes.

Run a Google search on OE Spell Checkers and you will find lots of free spell checkers that work in
OE.
