After buying a new computer with Visat loaded, I come to find out that
Office 2003 can not be migrated to Vista. Is this correct? If so, then
this one of the biggest abuses of power I've seen lately. Office 2003 was
perfertly function for 90% of my work.

Now, I understand the I've got to fork out more money to buy 2007 or keep
working on my old machine with XP. If this is true, it's a big abuse of
power and an example of a monopoly at work.

Office 2003 works just fine with Vista. Just install it from your disks.

I just installed my Office 2003 fine from my disc, then ran the migration
wizard to transfer my settings from my XP SP2 machine to the Vista box and
have my themes, contacts, auto-fill nick cache, rules, etc. The only
problem I ran into was installation of Office 2003 SP2 which made me jump
through hoops in order to access the mapisvc.inf (had to take ownership of
the file and give my account Full Control of it), but aside from that I had
no problems.

I use Office 2003 Professional with Vista Home Premium. Works perfectly.

I installed Office XP with no problems on a clean install of Vista. Whol
told you Office 2003 doesn't work with Vista? I hope it wasn't a salesman.

I wonder if the OPs version of Office 2003 is a OEM version that came
with his old computer? If so, he's correct, it cannot be legally moved
to his new computer.
